Biotechnology and Food Science Expert at CEU Cardenal Herrera

Daniel Ramón

Daniel Ramón Vidal is a biologist and one of Spain’s leading experts in biotechnology and food science. He is a professor of Food Technology at CEU Cardenal Herrera University and has served as a research professor at the CSIC’s Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology (IATA). He founded the biotechnology companies Biopolis and Lifesequencing, which were subsequently acquired by

the multinational agri-food company ADM, where he served as Vice-President of R&D in Nutrition and Health. The author of more than 170 scientific publications and holder of numerous international patents, he is a full member of the Royal Spanish Academy of Engineering and has received awards such as the Juan de la Cierva National Research Prize and the NutraChampion Award for his contribution to food biotechnology.
