S\u00e9bastien Louvion is Chief Regulatory Officer at Standing Ovation, a French Foodtech Company founded in 2020 and based in Paris.<\/p>

He also currently serves as President of Food Fermentation Europe, the European trade association for advanced fermentation technologies for food and feed.<\/p>

A lawyer by trade, S\u00e9bastien has been supporting product innovation and defending consumer safety in the food industry for over 25 years.<\/p>

S\u00e9bastien started his career at Keller and Heckman LLP in Washington D.C. and Brussels, specializing in Food Law practice.<\/p>

In 2006, he joined top tier international law firm Mayer Brown where he advised businesses on\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

on product compliance across a wide spectrum of industries and regions, keeping a focus on food and life sciences.<\/p>

From 2015 onwards, S\u00e9bastien moved to in-house counsel positions within two food industry world leaders, with a Senior Food Law Manager position at Danone, followed by a mission within the legal department of General Mills France.<\/p>

In 2022 S\u00e9bastien joined Standing Ovation, where he focuses on unlocking market access for the company\u2019s precision fermentation caseins in compliance with applicable regulations.<\/p>

S\u00e9bastien has been on Food Fermentation Europe\u2019s Board of Directors since the company joined the association shortly after its launch in 2023.
